Thom Brueckner is a nationally recognized financial educator, market historian, published author, radio talk show host, seminar speaker, national columnist, and mentor to other advisors. He is also an advisor to more than 600 of his own successfully retired clients, now spread throughout twenty-one states and seven countries. He has taught Safe Money Strategies at colleges, conference centers, and retirement workshops from Augusta, Maine, to Scottsdale, Arizona. His ideas and articles have appeared in New Hampshire Magazine, The Union Leader, National Underwriter, Senior Market Advisor magazine, among other national and regional publications.
A former agent trainer, Thom is a frequent seminar speaker with a keen ability to make complex financial and insurance issues understandable to the lay person. As a long-time advocate of market reforms for retirees, he has testified before numerous governmental agencies in favor of common-sense consumer protections for older investors, caregivers, and the elderly.
Thom and his staff were extremely proud to receive the 2010 Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics in the small business category by the New Hampshire Better Business Bureau. This statewide award recognizes one small business each year that exceeds all others in their exceptionally high standards of ethical business practices.
In 2011, Thom was named a top-five, national finalist of Senior Market Advisor magazine’s Advisor of the Year award. This prestigious industry award recognizes those who are successful, trustworthy, committed, ethical, community-focused—and most importantly, live by the motto of always putting the client first.
Thom was also awarded the 2011 Business Excellence Award in Professional Services by the New Hampshire Business Review (NHBR). This category includes not only brokerage firms and insurance agencies, but law firms and CPA/accounting practices as well.
Since 2002, Thom has been a member of Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), a global, independent association of the world's leading life insurance and financial services professionals. MDRT members demonstrate exceptional professional knowledge, strict ethical conduct and outstanding client service. Furthermore, Mr. Brueckner has qualified for MDRT’s Top of the Table, their highest achievement level, for 13 years.
Thom is also a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA), a certified member of the National Ethics Association, and is a 1999 first-generation graduate of the CLTC (Certified in Long Term Care) program. Thom was a recipient of NAIFA’s Quality Award for outstanding client service in 2013, 2014 and 2015.
Mr. Brueckner is President and CEO of Senior Financial Resources, Inc. in Nashua NH and President and COO of Strategic Asset Conservation, Inc. in Scottsdale AZ, two insurance firms specializing in wealth preservation for retirees. For 26 years Mr. Brueckner has shown thousands of retired Americans how to protect and bequeath their assets using the most tax-advantaged strategies available under law.
Thom and his wife Laurie are the proud parents of three grown children, the oldest and youngest of whom served proudly during operation Iraqi Freedom. Thom and Laurie make their home in Merrimack, NH.
