    Retirement Income Planning

    Al Barbour began his career as a Life and Retirement Income planner with The Reserve Life Insurance Company. Al was quickly recognized by his clients and peers as an exceptional agent for his outstanding service and successful financial strategies. Al was quickly promoted from agent to district manager and finally agency director.

    In 1986 Al founded Barbour Tax & Financial Services. The mission of Barbour Tax & Financial Services is to help retirees and soon to be retirees achieve their financial dreams through low risk investments, comprehensive financial planning, and tax minimization strategies.

    When Advising clients, Al makes it his goal to help them create:

    • A retirement plan that will provide sustainable income for life.
    • A solution that will free my clients from the fear of outliving their assets.
    • A solution for passing on inheritance to their heirs.

    A devout Christian, Al teaches Sunday school to seniors and participates in mission trips to the Navajo Indian Reservations in New Mexico. As a heart transplant recipient, he also volunteers with the North Carolina Organ Donor Association, speaking from personal experience about the impact of receiving this life-saving gift.

    Al enjoys playing golf and traveling, as well as spending time with Susan, his wife of almost four decades. The Barbours happily make their home in Clayton, North Carolina.
