Jim also holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Sociology from Central Michigan and a Masters Degree Social Work from Wayne State University. Mr. Speir is an Investment Advisor Representative and a licensed insurance agent in Michigan, Illinois, Minnesota, Tennessee and Arizona. He is also a Licensed Social Worker in Michigan.

Mr. Speir is the founder and president of the Senior Caregiver Resource Network, a network of professionals dedicated to providing services and resources to seniors and caregivers. He currently serves as an Advisory Board Member for the firm of Lewis Mikkola PLLC. He serves on the Board of Visitors for Wayne State University Institute of Gerontology and is on the Legal and Finance Committee to the Board for the Institute of Gerontology. He is a three time past President of the Somerset Troy Chapter of Business Network International and current member of the Financial Planning Association. Mr. Speir is active in his community and served as President and Chairman of the Huntington Woods Men's Club.
