National Ethics Association - Wednesday, September 16, 2009

To help financial professionals benefit from emerging industry trends, National Ethics Bureau (NEB) has once again partnered with ProducersWEB.com to produce a monthly podcast series. Entitled Trendwatch 2.0, the series is available exclusively on ProducersWEB.com.

Hosted by NEB Chairman Steven R. McCarty, the new series brings together the industry’s top experts to help producers stay one step ahead of the issues that are transforming the business today.

“As always, we are delighted to partner with ProducersWEB.com,” said NEB’s McCarty. “They have the leading platform for communicating with financial professionals. And they are committed to publishing valuable content that helps advisors advance in the marketplace.”

“We have come to rely on NEB to provide a valuable perspective on the important trends changing our industry,” said Jeff Schottland, Vice President of e-Media with ProducersWEB.com. “I will count on Steve to ask hard questions about how advisors can sell, serve, and win in the future.”

Three podcasts are currently slated for broadcast, including:

  • The Future of Retirement Planning, with guest Michael Reese, who runs a Registered Investment Advisory firm and teaches advanced tax strategies to RIA’s nationwide.
  • The Future of Annuity Sales, with guest Van Mueller, registered representative with the Wisconsin Agency of New England Financial Services.  He is an industry columnist, and has been featured in Financial Advisor magazine
  • The Future of Annuity Regulation, with guest Kim O’Brien, executive director of the National Association for Fixed Annuities (NAFA). O’Brien spearheaded the industry's effort to overturn SEC Rule #151a.

Program launch and guest information will be announced over the next several weeks. Financial professionals can access TrendWatch podcasts at TrendWatchPodcast.com.
